Christmas!

2010

It was our first Christmas as a family.  Well the current configuration of family that we have now.  It was as magical as I hoped for.  Bronwyn had a fabulous time.  Steven saved the day with the best gift of the holiday.

This Tinkerbell chair went over so well that Bronwyn sat for about half an hour while everyone (including her) opened  presents.  In baby time that is like sitting still for 8 straight hours.  I got a fabulous new camera lens and books to teach me how to take pictures.  Apparently I need it, because half the shots I took through Christmas were blurry.  I definitely need practice.  The other camera related gift I got was Photoshop Elements.  Woohoo.

Bronwyn was very patient and super excited for all of her presents too.  Little does she know that in a month she gets to do it again for her birthday!

We then had breakfast.  I had gotten the recipe from here.  It was delicious!  I think from now on I will be putting something together the night before and then baking it while opening presents.  It makes the house smell good, and no one needs to cook!  It makes life easy.  Plus I had tons to cook later.

First I BUTTERFLIED a freaking pork loin. Yeah, I had no clue how to do it,but I followed the instructions given and rocked it.  The stuffing is prosciutto, lemon, panko bread crumbs, chives, salt and pepper.

Before

And after!  Then I also made green bean stacks found here.
I also made a fabulous panna cotta for dessert, but have no pics of that.
So we just relaxed all day, and I cooked.  Bronwyn was in a really good mood.  Santa brought a wooden train.  Really one of the best holidays I’ve ever had.

So, I'm coming to your house for Christmas next year. My family won't mind, and it's not like I like them anyway.
